Popular or pop music, some agree, that it can be interchange but a lot also feel the need to differentiate both terms. If you would browse through the web you can see that there is no actually clear definition nor differentiation between pop and popular music but both terms are commonly used interchangeably, pop being an abbreviation for popular. This is the same in the Philippines I have observed from the local music channels and radio stations that there is no clear difference of a pop song from a popular song.
