Philippine’s Music Televisions

The television is among the home appliances that are constantly used in most Filipino households. Filipinos love a good entertainment and a good but not that costly source where entertainment can be acquired is through television.

Music is also aired abundantly through television. There are not that many T.V. stations in the Philippines but the local television channels dedicate a big portion of their airtime for Music. In fact many, if not all of today’s Philippine music artists got where they are now because they were being hoist up by the local channels. Many musicians got known all over the Philippines and even internationally in many cases because of the help of Philippine local television companies.

Filipinos like to watch television—even those people who have no access to television still find time to visit their neighbours, just to see their favourite television series. I have listed some of the TV station in the Philippines.

ABS-CBN means Alto Broadcasting System-Chronicle Broadcasting Network. It is a conglomerate which mainly focuses on broadcasting entertainment, news and other multimedia information for the local and international audiences. This company is the first to broadcast in television in the whole of Asia, which started in the year 1946.

GMA network is another multimedia conglomerate operating in the Philippines. The network is composed of forty-seven television stations, thirty-seven radio stations and four other television stations affiliated with them. The station renders both local and international television programs.
